Terms and Conditions
Effective date: July 2026
Last updated: July 2026
Welcome to the website of StoneBrook Winery doing business as StoneBrook Winery (“we,” “our,” “us,” or the “Winery”).
These Terms and Conditions apply when you visit our site and purchase wine, make a payment, register for an event, or use any other service offered through our website.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Age Requirement
You must be at least 21 years old to purchase, pick up, or receive alcoholic beverages from us.
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- You are at least 21 years old.
- The person receiving the wine is at least 21 years old.
- The information you provide is accurate.
- The purchase is for personal use and not for unlawful resale.
We may request proof of age and identity. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order when age cannot be verified.
2. Where We Sell Wine
We generally accept eligible wine orders for customers located in:
- Kentucky
- Ohio
- Florida
Wine may only be sold, shipped, delivered, or picked up where permitted by applicable federal, state, and local laws.
The ability to order through our website does not guarantee that we can legally ship or deliver to every address within these states. Some counties, cities, ZIP codes, or other jurisdictions may restrict alcohol sales or delivery.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order that cannot legally be completed.
3. Orders
All orders are subject to:
- Product availability
- Age verification
- Payment approval
- Applicable alcohol laws
- Shipping or delivery availability
- Our acceptance of the order
An email or website confirmation only confirms that we received your order. It does not mean that the order has been legally approved, accepted, or shipped.
We may limit quantities or cancel an order due to product shortages, pricing errors, payment issues, suspected fraud, legal restrictions, or other reasonable business concerns.
When we cancel a paid order before fulfillment, we will refund the applicable amount to the original payment method.
4. Prices and Payments
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars.
Applicable sales taxes, alcohol taxes, shipping charges, service fees, and other required charges may be added during checkout.
Prices and product availability may change without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing, description, or checkout errors before fulfilling an order.
Payments may be processed through a third-party payment provider. By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.
5. Shipping and Delivery
Wine shipments are made only where legally permitted and through carriers authorized to transport alcoholic beverages.
A person who is at least 21 years old must be available to receive the shipment and may be required to:
- Present valid government-issued photo identification.
- Provide an adult signature.
- Complete any required age-verification process.
Wine will not be knowingly delivered to a minor or left unattended when an adult signature is required.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address where an adult aged 21 or older will be available.
Shipping and delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed.
6. Weather Holds
Wine may be damaged by extreme heat or freezing temperatures.
We may delay shipment when weather conditions could affect wine quality or create unsafe delivery conditions. We will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer when an order is placed on a weather hold.
A weather-related delay is not considered a failure to fulfill the order.
7. Failed Deliveries
The customer is responsible for ensuring that a qualified adult is available to accept the shipment.
When a package is returned because of an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, refusal, lack of identification, or the absence of an adult recipient, the customer may be responsible for:
- Original shipping charges
- Return shipping charges
- Reshipping charges
We will contact the purchaser to discuss available options.
8. Pickup Orders
When winery pickup is available, the person collecting the order must be at least 21 years old and must present valid government-issued photo identification when requested.
We may refuse to release an order to anyone who:
- Is under 21 years old
- Cannot provide acceptable identification
- Appears intoxicated
- Is attempting to receive alcohol unlawfully
Pickup orders must be collected during our posted business or pickup hours unless other arrangements have been approved.
9. Cancellations
Contact us promptly at 859-635-0111 to request cancellation of your order.
We will make reasonable efforts to cancel an order that has not been processed, prepared, or shipped.
Once an order has entered fulfillment or has shipped, cancellation may no longer be possible.
10. Returns and Refunds
Because wine is a regulated and perishable product, we generally do not accept returns for customers who changed their mind or did not prefer the taste of the wine.
Contact us within three days of receiving your order when:
- The wrong wine was delivered.
- A bottle arrived broken or leaking.
- Products are missing from the order.
- The shipment was visibly damaged.
- You believe the wine is defective.
Please provide:
- Your name
- Your order number
- A description of the problem
- Photographs of the bottle, packaging, shipping box, and label when applicable
Do not discard damaged products or packaging until we have reviewed the issue, unless keeping them would create a safety hazard.
Depending on the circumstances, we may provide a replacement, refund, store credit, or another reasonable solution.
Refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.
11. Wine Descriptions
Wine is an agricultural product, and characteristics may vary between vintages and batches.
Our tasting notes, sweetness descriptions, food pairings, and serving suggestions reflect our general impressions. Individual experiences and preferences may differ.
Product photographs are provided for illustration. Labels, packaging, bottle appearance, or vintages may differ slightly from what appears on the website.
12. Events, Tastings, and Winery Dinners
Reservations for tastings, dinners, tours, and other events may be subject to additional terms as shown on the event page or in the reservation confirmation.
Event-specific terms may include:
- Reservation deposits
- Payment deadlines
- Cancellation deadlines
- Refund policies
- Guest limits
- Age requirements
- Arrival times
- Menu changes
We may cancel or reschedule an event due to weather, safety concerns, staffing issues, insufficient attendance, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
When we cancel an event, we will provide a refund, credit, rescheduled date, or another remedy as stated in the event terms.
13. Responsible Consumption
Please enjoy our wine responsibly.
Do not drink and drive. Guests attending winery events should arrange for a designated driver or other safe transportation.
We reserve the right to refuse alcohol sales, service, pickup, delivery, or event participation when permitted or required by law, including when a person appears intoxicated.
